Last Hurrahs

My mind is whirling from a week of sorting, dealing with sketchy
packers (who finished loading the van Friday at TWO IN THE MORNING),
coordinating and living out of 9 suitcases/cooler/fun
tote/stroller/backpacks (Tanner wonders why I wouldn't let him bring
his guitar), loving two little ones that are way off their schedules,
and saying goodbye to friends and shuttling kids back and forth to all
sorts of last Hurrahs. It has been wonderful and draining all at the
same time.

The house however is clean, the kids are happy, and we are Washington
bound tomorrow for a summer filled with family. I couldn't be more
excited.

Big Brothers

I doubt I will EVER not swoon when I see my big boys loving on my little ones.  Yesterday we went for a family walk and Holland insisted holding onto Christian and Tanner's pinkies as he walked.  He was in big brother heaven, and to be honest so was I.

C took this picture of his t-shirt.  He is our little captain america of confidence and goodness.  I sure love this boy.  He's got a quick sense of humor and is constantly making me smile (when he's NOT teasing his little brothers).  A week or so ago we watched our neighbors darling kids.  Their daughter, a typical 4-year-old girl, was a constant talker who would occasionally have some very entertaining tirades.  During one of them she was yelling, "I'm going home.  And I'm never ever ever ever coming back!!!!."  Christian leaned over and whispered, "Do you think we can we get that in writing?"

Leprechaun lures

Hyrum's love affair with leprechauns continues and inspired a kitchen
full of creations. Some boys are in it for the wish while others are
strictly in it for the candy.

Looking ahead

I'm a smidge excited that we are leaving behind bitter cold,
destination-less Spring Breaks behind. I'm looking forward to road
trips to St. George, Vegas, Phoenix, Moab, blue skies, and perhaps a
t-shirt or two.

Meet Warner

After Jimmy, I quickly stipulated that the snowman had to be taller
than Holland. It didn't take them too much longer to create "Warner."
While I think both snowmen are darling, I think the two boys who built
them are cuter. While at times I wish that "building a boy" only took
minutes, I am grateful to be on this lifetime journey of growing
together with them.

Meet Jimmy

During Spring Break the boys wanted to watch a movie. I encouraged
them to go outside and build a snowman first. 2 minutes later they
had completed their creation which they had named Jimmy. While
absolutely darling he was a little lacking in stature.

Sam's science project centered around which bubble gum makes the best
bubble. Hands down, in our limited scientific study, ice breakers did
the best while Extra came in dead last. We sure had a great time
chewing and blowing our hearts out in the name of science. Perhaps
next year our project can center around girl scout cookies and
coldstone ice cream. This would defnitely take a little of pain out
of the science fair projects.

Day 5&6

Beach. Beach. Beach. Swimming. Basketball. Games. Adults out to
Dinner. Soaking up some sunshine.

Sams favorite part was "Eric and Addie." He loved spending time with
his cousins (We were able to spend a day in Washington where Sam got
to play with Eric Magelsen)
