Meet Jimmy

During Spring Break the boys wanted to watch a movie. I encouraged
them to go outside and build a snowman first. 2 minutes later they
had completed their creation which they had named Jimmy. While
absolutely darling he was a little lacking in stature.

Double Trouble

Heaven help us all!

Sam's science project centered around which bubble gum makes the best
bubble. Hands down, in our limited scientific study, ice breakers did
the best while Extra came in dead last. We sure had a great time
chewing and blowing our hearts out in the name of science. Perhaps
next year our project can center around girl scout cookies and
coldstone ice cream. This would defnitely take a little of pain out
of the science fair projects.

Love at First Sight

Eve and her Grandpappy. These two stared at each other all evening long.

Oceanside 5-6

Day 5&6

Beach. Beach. Beach. Swimming. Basketball. Games. Adults out to
Dinner. Soaking up some sunshine.

Sams favorite part was "Eric and Addie." He loved spending time with
his cousins (We were able to spend a day in Washington where Sam got
to play with Eric Magelsen)

Day 3: San Diego Zoo/Knott's Berry Farm for the big kids

Day 4: Church, Mormon Battalion Visitor Center, San Diego Temple

Oceanside

Spent a glorious 7 days in Oceanside California with the Warner Family.

1st Day: Legoland.

We walked into the park and Christian said to me, "Mom I think we are
the oldest kids here." I think he was right. The big kids were
troopers though and allowed us to treat the little ones to a day of
lego heaven.

Aunt Denise invited Hyrum to go around with her and Tyson since he has
the disability pass and can basically walk onto any of the rides.
Eric joined that group too and was helpful a time or two getting Tys
off the rides. Of all the things we did Hyrum LOVED legoland best of
all.

Somber

This is Holland's somber face.

After returning from a 10 day trip, Holland wouldn't even make eye
contact with me for several hours. He wouldn't smile. He wouldn't
even let me tickle him. I think he was mad that we had left him (and
his two older brothers) for so long. After the initial silent
treatment was over he has been going a mile a minute. It is amazing
all that you can forget in 10 days. . . one of those things being just
how much work this little fellow can be.

I adore him somber face and all. Those cheeks are my favorite as is
the button nose and the unruly hair.

Oh how I love this boy.

Strawberry

Eve enjoyed her first bath in a real bathtub. It was a rite of
passage. Next up: rolling over.

When Eve was a few weeks old we noticed about six tiny red dots on the
left side of her belly. Come to find out she has what is called a
Strawberry Hemangioma. [Click here for more details:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hemangioma] I think it is darling.
Early on when we contemplating its origins we told the boys that it
was "The Mark" that she was "The Chosen One" and that if needed we
would place her in a basket of reeds and send her down the river in
hopes that a village of little people would find her and woudl take
her on a journey where she would conquer evil and become a queen.

Last week Eve turned two months old. It sure seems like she has been
part of our family a whole heap longer than just two months. At her
doc appointment she weighed almost 13 lbs. and is 24 1/2 inches long.
She's a speedy eater and every now and then I worry about her getting
enough but those elbow creases, that double chine, and especially her
leg rolls, not to mention all the wet diapers, convince me that she is
doing just fine. She's still sleeping through the night and has
recently started to smile and coo.

As we plod through the ups and downs and stresses of selling a house I
am especially grateful that this little one is so content and
preditable. I was extremely thankful that her 2 mo. vaccines didn't
even seem to phase her.

Just last week Eve had the opportunity to meet most of her Warner and
Bacon family. What a treat to show her off to grandma's, grandpa's,
aunts, uncles, and oodles of cousins.

V-Day

No Schoo tomorrow so the valentines are going out a day early. Here's
Warner with his valentines and the typical cheesy kindergarten smiley
to boot. I'm sure crazy in love with these little boys!

Girl . . . I Love You!

Most of our kids have a personalized theme song. It is usually a kid
song that we personalize. Eve (or Eve-ers as she is often called) has
a song of her own. It is usually spurred on by phrases like "Hey baby
girl" or "How's my girl" . . . which brings to mind the Manilli
Vanilli classic line "Girl you know it's true. . . oooh, oooh, oooh I
love you!" Rings true.
