Febraury Fun
So blogging isn't my biggest priority these days. . . but these little fellows sure are. Here is Hyrum with one of his many amazing preschool creations. He had so much fun floating his boat in the bathtub.
Warner has fallen in love with drawing. Crayons, Pens, Pencils. . . but Markers are his favorite. On this day he tried sampling it. . .

January
Don't let the sparkly eyes fool you. In January, this little fellow was nothing but trouble. A Big Bad Cold, cutting FOUR teeth (his eye teeth), constantly pulling everything out of the kitchen cupboards, and realizing that yes, he was strong enough to pull the lid off of any marker.
Warner also truly fell in love with books last month. He likes to back up into our laps and flip the pages for hours.
I think his favorite bit of mischief is pulling everything out of the bathroom drawers. He loves Eric's meds. . . nothing as magical as the sound of 50 small zyrtec bouncing around inside a bottle.
A Healthy Dose. . .
All praise to the Tussin DM
I was sick during Christmas, Warner during the New Year, and back to me for February. And you know how it is. . . if the baby is sick it isn't too much different from you being sick too (if a little one is miserable, everyone is miserable). Yikes.
So thank goodness for this bottle of heaven. Eric would agree.
A weeks ago I had a terrible cough. The one that doesn't bother you at all during the day, but the second you fall absolutely exhausted into your bed decides it wants to be your constant companion.
One night, before I conceded to the magic swig, I coughed and coughed and coughed for hours. That next morning I apologized to Eric.
"It wasn't too bad," he replied, "I only had to wipe my face off four or five times during the night."

Baby Water
Last week as I was rushing out the door Tanner asked, "Mom, where are you going?""A Baby Shower," I replied.
"A Baby SHOWER?" he asked. "You are going to shower a baby?"
I stopped my rushing and did what I thought was a decent job of explaining the tradition behind and naming of the Baby Shower.
As the garage door closed behind me I heard Tanner holler, "Have fun at your Baby WATER Mom!"

Epitome of Childhood
These two pictures capture the essence of Childhood. Imagination. Pure, Believing, Fun-loving.

Hy. For Christmas we gave him the movie Peter Pan, can you tell? When he found out yesterday that my mom had made Peter Pan costumes for C&T the begging began. He's been flying around Neverland ever since.

Last night after doing a full days worth of dishes by hand (yes, our dishwasher officially called it quits) I went to tuck in the barstools and found that they had disappeared. Sam and Hy were in the living room playing Star Wars. The barstools had magically become x-wing fighters and my two little jedis were on a quest to find (and let's be honest. .. probably torture) Count Dooku.
Sometimes I miss those days when all it took was a couple of hair ribbons to become a princess, or stack of blankets and a broom to create the best hideout ever. As much as I try, the laundry never turns into anything exotic or exciting or entertaining. I must be old and boring because to me, it is just laundry. Do they even have laundry in Neverland or on Tatooine? I doubt it. Somehow it must magically get done or they have slaves. . . both options are definitely worth considering. Or maybe I could imagine myself up a maid (which is probably why I'm already six loads behind. . .)
Enough of my housekeeping woes. . .
I'm just grateful I have little boys who inspire ME with their fantastic imaginations.

Christmas Break 2008
Bed
FYI: Sam is back to a real bed.
One night Hy fell to sleep in Sam's Box, so Sam opted to sleep on Hyrum's side of the bed. After a nights rest he woke us and said, "Mom, that felt good. I think I like sleeping in my bed. . . it is cushy. "
